We love to go to the smokies any chance we get. There is always entertainment for all generations and country foods to suit everyone’s delight. Hikes can start the minute you leave the porch door and many other hikes are available, hard or easy.
One of our favorite things to do is have our morning coffee on the porch watching the day start. And again in the evening as the day winds down.
The smokies have this secret charming restaurant on top of the mountain and it’s worth the drive.
You hear about all the animals that live in the mountains but never really see them. That was not the case this past weekend. Although they look so cuddly and cute I know not to go up to them. I’m sure they were on a mission to find food so I didn’t bother them. But we had to stop and admire their beauty for just a little while.
No better way to get to know your family better than a road trip. 7 people, 7 days, 7 states: Georgia. Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Upstate New York, and Maryland!
